These terms govern your use of Unscramblr.app ("the site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
1. The service
Unscramblr is a free, browser-based word unscrambler for tile games such as Wordfeud and Scrabble. The site is provided as-is, on a best-effort basis, with no guarantees of availability, accuracy, or fitness for any particular use. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the site at any time without notice.
2. Acceptable use
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- attempt to disrupt, attack, or interfere with the site or its hosting infrastructure;
- scrape the site or its word lists at a rate that imposes an unreasonable load;
- republish the site's content as your own;
- use the site to violate the rules of any tournament, league, or sanctioned competition in which you are participating.
3. Word lists and dictionary data
Word lists used by Unscramblr come from a mix of sources: TWL06 (used for North American Scrabble), SOWPODS / Collins Scrabble Words (used for international Scrabble), and open Hunspell dictionaries for other languages. These lists are the property of their respective authors, publishers, and contributors, and are used here as compiled reference data for utility purposes. No claim of ownership is made over these lists. Wordfeud and Scrabble are trademarks of their respective owners; Unscramblr is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those owners.
4. Intellectual property
Site design, original copy (About, Tips, FAQ, this page), and original code are © 2025 the operator of Unscramblr.app and are made available for personal use only. Quoting short excerpts with attribution is welcome; wholesale republication is not.
5. Advertising
The site is supported by advertising served by Google AdSense and its partners. The presence of an advertisement does not constitute an endorsement of the advertised product. See the Privacy Policy for details on advertising cookies and how to opt out of personalised ads.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that the word lists are complete or accurate for any specific game or jurisdiction.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator of Unscramblr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the site.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of the page reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Unscramblr resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
